Art Basel: Day one.

(Yes I am talking to you.)

(What Rudolph the red nose reindeer looks like in F&F world.)

(Cool white cylinder shaped plastic giant balloons that look like sea anemone's sort of.)

(Found this quite funny, disagree that pineapples are tacky though.)

(Words cut out from canvas fabric very neatly.)

(Cute patchwork character bags being made at Art Basel.)

(A magical Ruffles bag that any Ruffles fan would appreciate.)

(Natalies clean and multi print outfit for day one of Art Basel.)

(Natalie enjoying a small break on a lovely hill of synthetic grass.)

(Lauren's ensemble for the first day of Art Basel.)

(DIY details: H&M necklace revamped and reborn for Lauren's outfit.)

Art Basel -- as a Miami local, where do I begin to explain one of the only things I look forward to the entire year? It is a time where talent, eccentricity, style, design and all things interesting are celebrated. Decemeber 6th was the first day it opened, along with prior events launching the art filled extravaganza. From SoBe to Wynwood and all in between, everyone is taking part in Basel. I was a bit late unfortunately, due to some delays, and had missed quite a few of the events in prior days that I really felt were important to attend but since my schedule (as a college student and employee) is not that flexible, I guess next year I will quit my job to hear Diane Von Furstenburg speak at Design Miami or sneak into the Vanity Fair party. Anyways I had to carefully plan all my outfits for Basel because you need to exert your most inner fashionable rays through your garments at this event. There are some seriously style savvy people here! I decided to wear some medium heeled Fendi sandals, a 3.1 Phillip Lim dress, a Zara military jacket, an H&M necklace I DIY fixed, and my Prada Staffiano tote! What do you guys think? Is it Art Basel worthy or should I have done something more quirky? Anyways, on another note, Natalie cleaned up well with some clean simple lines and mixing of prints with a Rag and Bone Blazer, Zara print dress and Zara slingback pumps. What would you have worn to Art Basel on the first day?

Holiday Gift Guide

Although black Friday is overdue, -- and maybe a gift guide before then would have been helpful -- I decided to make a gift guide for those who are last minute gift givers. Sometimes we procrastinate on gift giving because we want to be able to get something spectacular to those we love, but we have no idea what on earth to give them. I made three different categories of gift guides for all of those important individuals we need to surprise on the holidays.

Getting your best friend or gal pal something uber cute is one of the main initiatives for us females in the holidays. But sometimes we feel either we don't know what to get them, or they probably already have pretty much everything they want and need. What can I get her that she can use and does not already have? Well at the top are some items I think are perfect and super adorable and versatile for any of our female friends.

Getting the boys in our life -- whether it be our brother, guy best friend, boyfriend or father -- is sometimes a bit tricky. But you can get them something fashionable that they can use forever like the items above. Choose from an assortment of things, like a quirky watch for your artistic boyfriend, a rope bracelet for that guy friend, A Kenzo cap for that pesky brother that needs designer in their closet, and or a nice cologne or personalized leather notebook for your father.

Shopping for family members like a special aunt, newly born baby cousin, a style savvy uncle, etc, can sometimes be the hardest thing to do and sometimes are the most important gifts you need to give. Above are some great ideas or miscellaneous items that are best to give as gifts for those family members. Quirky housewarming items always do the trick. For example, a bowl with feet or a nice art book to place on a coffee table can be a great gift for any adult family member. A quirky onesie for the new addition to the family, a nice scented elegant candle for that cousin who just moved into that new home, a box of Dylan's candy to make life a little sweeter, or how about giving the gift of a pet with a fancy fish bowl?
